Don’t Let Change Scare You

There’s something people don’t talk about enough when it comes to creating the life you want. Before you get what you’ve been hoping, praying, or dreaming about, life often starts preparing you for it first.

And that preparation can be grueling.

Most people picture manifesting as a smooth process where doors open easily, opportunities show up, and everything works out perfectly, all because you recited a few affirmations. Abra Cadabra, right?

Okay. I must admit, sometimes it does happen that way. But often, living the life you dream of starts with disruption.

This disruption may show up in your relationships, as some friends or even family members are no longer able to walk alongside you as you move toward where you're meant to be. Places that once brought comfort may suddenly make you feel uneasy the moment you walk through the door. Habits that once soothed you may suddenly start feeling more uncomfortable, almost like those jeans you’ve outgrown but keep trying to force yourself back into.

What makes this season so challenging is that it can genuinely feel like your life is unraveling in real time. One minute everything is fine, and the next you’re lying awake at night, your thoughts racing as you wonder why everything is suddenly falling apart.

You may start to question your choices, your faith, your direction, or even yourself. The discomfort can feel overwhelming because change shakes up the emotional habits we rely on.

People naturally want things to stay the same, even if it’s not good for them. We get attached to routines, people, places, and even old versions of ourselves just because they’re familiar. Even when we ask for growth, success, healing, peace, love, or purpose, part of us still wants to hold on to the life we’ve outgrown.

That’s why transformation can feel so confusing, because unexpected changes usually come right before you reach your goal.

However, the discomfort isn’t a punishment or a sign to go backward. It’s your life adjusting to make room for what you asked for.

Sometimes, the life you want needs you to grow emotionally, mentally, spiritually, or financially.

It needs to break down your old foundation to build something stronger. People and situations need to leave so you can invest more energy into yourself.

This change not only alters your environment, but you as well. That doesn’t mean you’re failing.

Many people give up during this transition because they think the discomfort means they’re on the wrong path. In reality, they’re just letting go of parts of their life that no longer fit where they’re headed.

The hard part is trusting what you’re manifesting when everything feels wrong. It takes faith to believe you can find clarity in a cloud of confusion. It takes courage to keep moving forward when your old life feels safer than facing the unknown.

So, I hope you see this season isn’t just happening to you. It’s preparing you. These endings make space for new beginnings. Don’t let change scare you. Embrace it.
